Dearest friends, family, customers, and supporters! Josh and I hope you are all doing well. We have some bittersweet news that we wanted to let all of you know first before it spreads like wild fire before we can even talk to you guys! This is still very hard and emotional for us but….. After 6 wonderful years, on January 1st, 2010 we are closing The Fabric Lab Store. It has been one of the hardest decisions we have ever made and honestly still can’t believe it (I am sobbing as I write this) The economy had a lot to do with it but also Josh and I feel it is also time to move on to other projects, new ventures, possibly move to a whole new city and have more time for our family because it was taking a small toll on our little family because of our busy schedules. We are also very excited to announce baby #4 is on the way (yikes! yes, not we are not the effen’ Duggars! This is it for us! LOL!) Our family is the most important thing to us and had a great impact on our decision. Technically, The Fabric Lab is not officially closed forever. Supporting DENVER fashion, art and culture is our love and always will! We are going to still continue doing business and local events under The Fabric Lab like our Prototype Trunk Shows and Style Wars. I am also working right now on The Fabric Lab Pop-Up Boutiques that will travel around the Denver/Boulder Area in cafes, salons, boutiques, Museums, and Libraries starting early next year, we are keeping all of our current local designers we have in the store and spread their amazing creations to a more broader audience. Also on the agenda we would like start our very own local fashion magazine. We are very excited! So please do not think we are gone forever but evolving to a whole new brand. Opening The Fabric Lab was one of the best things we ever did and it would of not survived 6 years with out the support of all of friends,family, and of course all the wonderful designers and customers! We have met so many great people because of the store and who have now become some of our best friends! We are having our Last Hurrah! as a store on Saturday, November 14th > Prototype Fashion Show @ Mod Livin’ , 7pm-10pm and we hope you all can make it and send us off to our new ventures right and get to see all our friends and family! Please do not be sad for us but give us a high-five for all the new things that we are going to create! Also keep supporting our other store/cafe we still co-own The Shoppe: Cereal+Cupcakes+Coffee next door, also visit our amazing neighbors Plastic Chapel, Neopolitan Art&Gifts, and The Big Hairy Monster Hair Salon who will be taking over our space..so get your hair did there!

Thank you all again for the support and friendship! Josh and I are truly the luckiest people in the world for meeting all of you and having you all be part of our life. WE LOVE YOU DENVER!

The Third Annual Colfax “Boo & Brew”

Trick-or-treating and “Food For All” – Food Drive for the 1 in 10 Colorado

Boo & Brew will scare its way onto East Colfax on Saturday, October 31st.  The East Colfax neighborhood businesses in the “Bluebird District” between Elizabeth and Monroe will be decorated in the spirit of Halloween and handing out candy for the kids and special events for adults.

• Kids join neighbors and friends in your best costume for fantastic trick-o-treating from 1 – 4 pm at decorated establishments along Colfax Avenue.
• Parents bring non-perishable items to trade for a goody bag

Adults’ events will be held Halloween night from 9 pm – 2 am.  The “Wander” will haunt 6 bars with plenty of live music.  Rock Bar, 3014, Mezcal, Goosetown Tavern and Atomic Cowboy will feature food and drink specials.
